Raked over the coals in his divorce settlement, all that aging loser Mike Nolan (Darren McGavin) had left was his car...and the last straw came when that got repossessed. Chasing it all the way to impound, his moxie impressed the repo company head (Sylvia Miles) enough to offer him a job...and now, apprenticed to a teenaged veteran (Denise Nickerson), hes learning the fine art of auto boosting.
