White Outlaw / Laws Lash

The White Outlaw (1929): Johnny Douglas, known as "The White Outlaw" for the white silk scarf he wears as a mask, is a "good bad guy" while his partner Jed is rotten to the core. Working on his own, Jed wears a white scarf to rob a stagecoach so that Johnny will be blamed, and then rides with the posse pursuing Johnny! Looking for redemption, Johnny gets a job at a Texas cattle ranch, but even here he can't get away from trouble: A local gambler is forcing the ranch owner's teenage daughter to marry him. The cinematography is by the legendary Ernest Laszlo (D.O.A., Kiss Me Deadly, Mad Mad World, Fantastic Voyage.) Starring Art Acord, Vivian May, Bill Patton, Lew Meehan and Al Hoxie.
