As the vogue of pop art soared in American galleries of the '60s, one of it's chief exponents was painter Roy Lichtenstein, with his stylized, blown-up reproductions of comic book panels. As his efforts continue to command prices in the nine figures, however, none of that ever made it's way to the cartoonists and copyright holders whose work he reinterpreted-and this compelling documentary gets perspectives from critics, experts, and some of the impacted artists themselves.
