Virginian: Seasons 1-3

Based loosely on Owen Wister's 1902 novel set in the 19th century, this popular 1962-70 western drama was notable for pioneering a format of 90-minute installments. The series chronicled the exploits of those working ranch land in Medicine Bow, Wyoming-including the title character (James Drury), and subsequent owners Judge Henry Garth (Lee J. Cobb), and the Grainger Brothers (Charles Bickford, John McIntire).
