Why can´t 35-year-old comic Barry Singer meet Ms. Right? Was it something he said? Well, maybe. In fact, an irate customer waits outside the nightclub after Barry´s gig and decks him. But that´s nothing compared to the fist sandwich cupid sends Barry´s way.

Opposites attract, repel and collide like bumper cars in a savvy comedy romance from stand-up comic Bill Kalmenson. Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unity) plays Barry, a comedian whose love life is a joke. Janel Moloney (The West Wing) plays the political activist drawn to and distanced by him. And Timothy Busfield (thirtysomething) is the pal who helps keep Barry on an uneven keel. On stage, Barry says he wants a woman to love him for who he pretends to be. But love isn´t pretending. Ultimately, neither will Barry.
