Pandemics.... From the Black Death of the 14th century to the Spanish flu of 1918 to the SARS epidemic of the 21st century. Outbreaks of these virulent viruses have decimated entire societies. The bird flu pandemic is sweeping the world, millions are dead and thousands are being treated in hospitals. Social order has broken down. When the images on the television become reality and their is no one left to turn to, people congregate to die and suffer in groups. Reaching out from a video diary the viewer gets to witness the grueling death of a warren of victims. Slashed together with news footage and home videos we see "the madness" spread from town to town turning the infected into lifeless cannibalistic zombies bent on one desire: to infect others and bring the world population to 0.
