Rio Breaks

Set against the volatile and dangerous world of Rio de Janeiros massive favelas, Justin Mitchell and Vince Medeiros documentary tells the story of two surf-obsessed best friends, 13-year-old Fabio and 12-year-old Naama. The pair live in Rios Favela do Pavao, which is controlled by one of the citys most dangerous drug gangs. However, their attention is focused on the waves of Rios Arpoador Beach and on a coming surfing event that may further their goal of becoming professionals and escaping the world of the gangs.
