Revolution Summer

Conceived in the midst of catastrophic confusions bourn of the Iraq War and produced under the influence of Vietnam War movie landmarks like Zabriskie Point, Revolution Summer portrays the lives of three young adults and their responses to a contemporary world climate of crisis, when hope is under siege.

Mackenzie Firgens, in a star performance as the aptly named Hope, portrays a young woman in San Francisco, gifted with vague idealism and abundance of common sense but no real direction. Her best friend Francine (Lauren Fox) is her opposite, dismissing any discussion of purpose, instead living day to day for the temporary highs of sex and drugs. When Hope meets Frankie (Samuel Child), who is planning an attack on an unknown target, their daily stakes are kicked up a few notches. As the time of strike approaches, each of them is called upon to make a choice.
