Private Snuffy Smith

A hillbilly named Snuffy Smith is more interested in brewing moonshine than anything, but after being hounded by government agents, he decides to hide out by enlisting in the army. As fate would have it, one of those revenuers who never found Snuffy turns out to be his sergeant, sending the hillbilly running back for the hills. His plans are complicated when his buddy's new invention is hidden in Snuffy's backpack. (1942)
