In Power, director Sidney Lumet (Network, The Verdict) again peels back the veneer of a public institution to reveal the way things are, aided by charismatic supporting players Julie Christie, Gene Hackman, Kate Capshaw and Denzel
Washington. Everywhere St. John uses his smarts (and occasionally opens his bag of dirty tricks) to steer clients to victory. But something is different in this run to November. A client may be enmeshed in a scandal hinting of foreign money corrupting U.S. elections.
