Planet Of The Apes

The original sci-fi classic, based on the novel by Pierre Boulle, stars Charlton Heston as Taylor, an astronaut who crash-lands on a world where humans are mute savages and apes the dominant life form. Co-starring in Academy Award-winning makeup are Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter as Cornelius and Zira, kindly chimpanzee scientists who come to Taylor's aid, and Maurice Evans as the sinister orangutan, Dr. Zaius. The witty script by Rod Serling features one of cinema's all-time great twist endings. (1968)
