Based on Jodi Picoult´s novel, Plain Truth is a suspenseful mystery and a perceptive culture clash. Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) plays the Philadelphia defense attorney who, named the girl´s guardian for the duration of the trial, moves in with the Fitches and finds her big-city notions challenged by a lot more than not having a place to recharge her phone. Alison Pill (Pieces of April) is Katie: out of her depths in the larger world and insisting despite all medical evidence that she was never pregnant. Two people, two ways of life: one goal: the Plain Truth.
