When the editor of a high fashion magazine is murdered, the clues point to her rival, an editor at a competing magazine. The prime suspect is a friend of both Perry (Raymond Burr) and Della Street (Barbara Hale), and they work to help clear her name. Matters are made more complicated when they realize that multiple people had motives to dispose of the dirt-dishing editor.
