This double feature contains two of Lifetime's most popular and provocative movies. In Pastor Brown, Jessica "Jesse" Brown returns home to honor her dying father's final command to take over as pastor of the family church, and she is forced to face critics who know of her sordid past and mend fences with the son and sister she abandoned years ago. In Sins Of The Mother, grad student Shay Dixon finds herself broke and unable to cope with the stress of school, so she embarks on a journey home to face her abusive, alcoholic mother, Nona - whom she finds recovered, with a new daughter and a completely transformed life. Both stories show that sometimes life is better when bitter is followed by sweet.
