Hoping to earn money for an operation for her ailing mother, Isabel Moreno (ravishing newcomer Dani Garza) leaves South America and enters the United States illegally. Staying with her cousin Martin in Philadelphia, she finds employment and an extended family with Martins landlords Gloria and Maurice. She also quite unexpectedly falls in love with a handsome American, Christopher (Mark McGraw, brother of Country superstar Tim McGraw and son of Philadelphia Phillies great Tug McGraw), who unbeknownst to Isabel is an immigration officer.

How all their lives intersect and touch one another forms the basis for an exceptionally poignant and riveting romantic drama that ultimately affirms that love, indeed, knows no boundaries.
