On a dark and stormy night in his reclusive mountain hideaway, Professor Farrington unveils the "VXO Accumulator," his newest and most important invention, to his wise confidant, Judge Folger. The Accumulator has the power to produce unlimited energy by harnessing the power of the sun. Farringotn believes his creation can end many of the world´s ills. Just as Professor Farrington is planning to go public, he is kidnapped and the Judge is sadistically strangled.
