Sybil Foster (Joanne Froggatt -- Coronation Street, A Touch of Frost) is homeless after escaping from a psychiatric hospital where she was sectioned for bipolar disorder. She spends her time targeting unsuspecting hotel guests for free rooms. When one of her victims is viciously murdered, all of the evidence points directly to her. As other bodies turn up, even she begins to doubt her own innocence of the crimes. The police investigation unearths skeletons from Sybil’s past, long since buried, and a link to a prominent political figure who may hold the key that unlocks the secrets of the past and opens the door to solving the mysteries of the present.
