Mark Of The Hawk

A young black boy of royal blood grows to manhood amid the cultural conflicts of South Africa, bearing a measure of scorn from both the world of his own people and the world of the white settlers. Sidney Poitier plays Oban, a young South African who has been educated abroad and returns to put his education to work in the government. Things change when Oban is caught between the government and his brother who is planning to revolt against the white-controlled system. (1957)
