Man About The House - 50th Anniversary Collection
Created by sitcom legends Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, Man About The House was one of the major sitcom hits on the 1970s, ultimately spinning off into two equally successful sequels; George and Mildred and Robin’s Nest.
This 50th Anniversary Collection brings together every episode from the 3 sitcoms, plus feature film versions of Man About The House and George & Mildred, and additional special feaures.
Man About The House:
Cookery student Robin Tripp can’t believe his luck when offered to share a London flat with two young girls, Chrissy and Jo. While it’s a strictly “keep your hands to yourself “arrangement, their suspicious landlord George Roper keeps a disapproving eye on them, whilst Mrs. Roper is thrilled to finally have a man about the house.
George & Mildred:
George & Mildred Roper are on the move, allowing Mildred a chance to climb the social ladder by purchasing a house in middle suburbia. Forever striving to rise to their new surroundings, Mildred is continually betrayed by George and his working-class roots. Equally dismayed are their new neighbours, headed by the snooty Jeffrey Fourmile, who fears he’ll be forever “knee deep in ferrets & pigeon droppings”!
Robin’s Nest:
Robin’s Nest charted the progress of erstwhile housemate Robin Tripp and his flourishing (or otherwise) career as a qualified chef running a little Fulham bistro with his girlfriend, Vicky, her father as co-owner, and a one-armed waiter named Albert.
