Made For Each Other

After knowing each other only a day, John and Jane fall madly in love and get married while John is on a business trip. Family and work put pressures on the newlyweds' marriage as the financial difficulties of the Great Depression begin to make life difficult. As time progresses they encounter more challenges when their child has severe health problems in this melodramatic tale. Carole Lombard and James Stewart star in a classic comedy-drama about a young couple dealing with a variety of problems in Depression-era America. After a whirlwind romance, New York City attorney John Mason (Stewart) marries the beautiful Jane (Lombard). But soon they must face mounting financial pressures, John's meddling mother (Lucile Watson), and a new baby with a devastating health crisis.  (1939)
