Ida and her kid brother (her real life cousin, Richard) plot to kill Ida’s husband and collect the insurance money.  They use a gas leak to commit the crime.  The only problem is her husband’s invalid father, who seemingly can’t speak and can’t hear…or can he?  His nurse begins to unravel the truth in this taut little crime drama.  This was originally an episode of Four Star Playhouse.  (1956)

PLUS: NERO WOLFE (1959) Kurt Kasznar, William Shatner, Alexander Scourby.  This was the pilot to the proposed Nero Wolfe TV series.  Kazner is the portly Nero while a very young Bill Shatner plays his legman, Archie.  Together they solve the perplexing murder of a Nasa scientist.
