For Capt. Robert John Evans (Ray Milland, Premature Burial), smuggling black-market goods is nothing out of the ordinary. But he's hired by Aristides Mavros (Claude Rains, Notorious) for a more involved assignment - sneaking an imprisoned American (Percy Marmont, Secret Agent) out of communist-controlled territory. The dangerous job becomes even more challenging when he meets the prisoner's sultry wife, Sylvia (Maureen O'Hara, The Rare Breed).
