Aspiring filmmakers Phillip Fellini and Forrest Fonda discover a cave-dwelling, beer-guzzling human oddity named Lucky "Cucumber Cavanaugh in the wilds of Missouri, a man rumored to possess the most extraordinary luck on Earth. The pair believe theyve found their ticket to fame and fortune, only to learn that Luckys incredible luck always results in devastating consequences for himself and everyone around him. Phillip, Forrest and Lucky find themselves up against gun-toting drug addicts, mental patients, sex offenders, alcoholism and, of course, each other.
