With her retired literature professor husband John (Donald Sutherland) slowly succumbing to dementia, and her own health compromised, Ella Spencer (Helen Mirren) abruptly proposed that they take off from Boston in the faithful old family RV for the trip he always wanted-Hemingway's home in the Florida Keys.
