In the late '70s, struggling reporter David Stone (Sam Worthington) got the life story offer he couldn't refuse-from aged, legendary mobster Meyer Lansky (Harvey Keitel), now nearly broke and still hounded by the FBI. The arc of his career from the '40s on-from spearheading the Mob's helping secure New York against WWII sabotage, to his Cuba operations that collapsed with the revolution-is strikingly recounted.
