Land Of Thirst

The son of an African chief, young Khanyiso Phalo was torn from his family by British soldiers and sent to England where he studied to be a doctor. Coming home to Africa in 1913 at the height of racist Colonial rule, he meets an English woman, Margret Harding. Falling in love in a time and place where their feelings are taboo, their romance whips up racist outrage. As targets of hostile attacks from scornful settlers and brutal soldiers, they must hide and lie, cheat and flee to escape those who would destroy them.
