Pastured Michigan plant manager Jerry Selbee (Bryan Cranston) was having a fitful adjustment to retirement with wife Marge (Annette Benning) when he tumbled on a flaw in a state lottery game. Buying enough small-prize tickets-thousands of them-would ultimately yield bigger payouts than the jackpots... and the Selbees, with a syndicate of neighbor investors, did just that for millions over close to a decade.
