It Happened Out West

Bank clerk Dick Howe is given an assignment he´d rather not carry out. The president of the bank has sent him to the ranch owned by pretty Ann Martin to give her some bad news - her deed is barely worth the paper it´s printed on. Ann uses her seductive wiles, however, to convince Dick to do his own appraisal. A clearly smitten Dick discovers silver on her land and uncovers a plot to steal it that goes deeper than he ever imagined.

Playing on the then-popular title, "It Happened One Night," this romantic western was filmed on spectacular Red Rock Canyon locations by director Howard Bretherton, well-known for his Hopalong Cassidy features. Famous stuntman Bob "Shorty" Woodward, who doubled for Gene Autry, Dick Foran and many others, appears here, as does real-life cowboy Ben Corbett in the role of comic sidekick, Gimpy.
