Based on the classic stories of Somerville and Ross, The Irish R.M. presents the often witty adventures of Major Sinclair Yates, a retired English army officer appointed Resident Magistrate for West Ireland in the days before Irish independence. Comic situations arise from the misunderstandings between the English and Irish, as well as from Yates´ attempts to become familiar with--and keep order amongst--the eccentric townspeople.

This box set collects episodes 13-18 of the beloved British television series, which originally aired on PBS´ Masterpiece Theatre.
