For teenagers Tessa (Joey King) and Skylar (Kyle Allen), six months of storybook romance abruptly and tragically ended when they were involved in the car accident that claimed his life. Afterwards, however, a series of uncanny and inexplicable occurrences leave her convinced that his soul isn't quite ready for the afterlife... and needs to make one final connection before moving on.
