I Love You Rosa

A superbly crafted, gentle love story with Jewish history and law at its core and a beautiful period piece which shows life in 19th century Jerusalem. The central story revolves around the Jewish practice that requires an unmarried brother to marry the widow of his dead brother. In this story the brother is only 12 when his brother dies. 1972 Golden Palm nomination at Cannes Film Festival and 1973 Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.
