Academy Award nominee Helen Mirren gives a smoldering performance as Beaty, who works as a hostess and prostitute in a posh London nightclub in order to support her young son. When Beaty falls for Emory, a mysterious American, she is brought even deeper into the criminal underworld. But Emory may also be her best chance to escape her destiny.

Mirren´s illustrious career includes starring roles in the television series Prime Suspect and Elizabeth I, as well as feature films such as Gosford Park and The Long Good Friday. Twice an Academy Award Nominee, Mirren has won a Golden Globe, two Emmys, Best Actress at Cannes (twice), as well as awards from BAFTA, the National Society of Film Critics, the Screen Actor´s Guild, and the New York Film Critics Society, among many others.
