Based on the work of Jan Gehl. For nearly forty years, Jan Gehl has been leading a revolution in urban planning that has been transforming cities worldwide. From the expanded pedestrian spaces in New York's Times Square, to Copenhagen's famed bike lanes, to the rebuilding of earthquake devastated Christchurch New Zealand, Gehl - as well as like-minded urban planners and open space architects - are discovering real solutions to many of the problems facing the world's growing megacities. The solutions promise a more humanistic dimension to cities, where people are no longer displaced by cars and massive building projects.
