This two-disc set of Hoarding: Buried Alive digs into the secret lives and compulsive behaviors of hoarders. A team of psychologists, professional organizers, and sometimes even a HAZMAT crew respond to the calls for help only to discover unfathomable living conditions. As the team intervenes, they never know what they may find - roaches, dead rats, hypodermic needles - but their harsh methods are often the last resort in saving homes and lives. Season 4 reveals that not even psychologists are immune to the disorders that drive these hoarders to fill their homes, storage buildings, and even a 9,000-square-foot storefront with clutter and filth. But in the end it's up to them to answer the pleas of their families and choose the road to recovery - or otherwise continue to be buried alive.
