An inmate hoping for parole from a violent penitentiary finds himself caught in the middle of two rival gangs fighting for control of the prison. He forms a shaky alliance with a gang leader who is wrongly blamed for a jailhouse killing. They find they must work together in order to stay alive and to save their loved ones, who are trapped in the prison lockdown.
