Jean (Wilton) is a professional house-sitter who has been assigned one last job before her retirement: the large and palatial Walden Manor. Quiet and peaceful, Jean minds the house alone. Then, one day, visitors come to the door: a pregnant young girl named Steph (Matthews) who is fleeing from her abusive boyfriend and Michael (Mays), the friendly stranger helping her run away – but in their attempt to escape a brutal past, they spiral deeper into a violent present and set off a trail of blood that leads directly to the front door of Walden Manor.

Tense and disturbing, Half Broken Things follows shattered people in their distorted pursuit of happiness, right up to the heart-stopping conclusion.
