For many people, Agatha Christie is the Queen of Crime Fiction, but her very popularity has often been at the heart of criticisms leveled at her literary style. A golden child of the Edwardian era, a beautiful young woman who captivated all those who encountered her, few could have guessed that there was a darker side to this most English of roses, and that crime, most notable murder, would indelibly write her name of the pages of history.

This documentary will explore the mystery that is Agatha Christie and follow the clues left in the legacy of her writing to reveal this extraordinary author and extremely private person.

It brings to life the stomping ground of the most renowned and acclaimed fictional detective of all time, a character which still excited the imagination of major film makers worldwide.
