Girl Most Likely

Jane Powell stars as a working girl with too many engagements in this breezy musical comedy directed by Mitchell Leisen. A bank clerk who wont say no, Dodie (Powell) has three fiancés and cant decide which one to marry. First theres Pete (Cliff Robertson), a poor mechanic who can only bring love to a marriage. Next is a salesman named Buzz (Tommy Noonan), who promises a life of stability. And finally theres Neil the playboy (Keith Andes), a millionaire shes only just met. Determined to choose the right Mr. Right, Dodie daydreams what their lives would be like if she marries one of the three. Based on the 1941 film Tom, Dick and Harry and highlighted by Powells glorious voice and choreographer Gower Champions imaginative staging, The Girl Most Likely was the final film produced by RKO at its Hollywood studio, marking the end of an era.
