The Heat Is On - And Time Is Running Out.

When Ray Wellerman (Armand Assante) gets out of jail on parole, his only thought is to find his ex-lover Lacy (Marcia Gay Harden). When he discovers she´s hooked up with successful lawyer Elliott (Sam Neill), Ray appears on their doorstep for a confrontation. He´ll do anything to win Lacy back, but Elliott isn´t giving up without a fight. Before either one can win her, Lacy is kidnapped by henchmen of the Junkman (Joe Spano), Ray´s ruthless prison adversary. To save Lacy´s life, Ray has to break parole and commit three crimes for the Junkman - a task which isn´t made easier when soft-skinned Elliott insists on tagging along. As the two join forces they follow the Junkman´s orders from arson to murder to save Lacy´s life, while sharing a bitter rivalry for her love. It´s a desperate race against time as two men join forces outside the law to fight for a cause only one of them can win.
