Exploring the West takes viewers to many of the fascinating sites that make western America such a rich part of our historical heritage.In Historic Rockies you will visit diverse places like Grand Junction, Colorado where history goes back to the age of dinosaurs, the Mesa Verde ruins of the ancient Anasazi and ride the spectacular Durango-Silverton Railroad which preserves the incredible effort required to build American railroads. The Southwest looks at amazing pre-European Native American settlements and follows in the footsteps of the first Europeans to explore and settle the vast western wilderness. From historic Old Town in Albuquerque to Santa Fe to Mission San Xavier del Bac you will see locations that were established four hundred years ago.
