An emperor agrees to buy new clothing that is invisible to the naked eye after being told that only unintelligent people cannot see them. Nobody is willing to risk being called dumb, so they go along with the emperor’s nonsense, complimenting his new wardrobe until the boldness of a vocal child makes them all look foolish.
