Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson, Englands greatest maritime hero, led a life of astonishing adventure. He found danger in soul-stirring naval battles, fame in his triumphs over Napoleons fleet, and passion in the arms of the bewitching and, like Nelson himself, married Lady Emma Hamilton.  Frank Lloyd (Mutiny on the Bounty) won a 1928-29 Best Director Oscar for this thrilling pre-Talkie (with musical and sound effects) of ship-to-ship and man-to-man combat interwoven with poignant scenes of the lovers finding happiness amid the tumult of war.
