You might have seen Dave Attell bar-hopping across America as host of the show Insomniac or in films that appeal to the mainstream (Scary Movie 4) and cult audiences (Pootie Tang) alike. But if you ask him, what he really does is stand-up comedy.

For the past twenty years, Attell has been a fixture on the New York club scene and has toured around the world. He revels in subjects that are considered un-PC or taboo, and delivers it all in a sharp, rapid-fire pace, often leaving the audience wondering if they should laugh or call the cops.

Attell takes his act to Washington D.C. in his first hour-long HBO Stand-Up Comedy Special, Captain Miserable. He´s filthy, dirty and completely unshaven. We wouldn´t have it any other way.
