Nearly a decade after "Davy Crockett," Fess Parker donned a coonskin cap once more to play another early American hero-18th-century frontiersman and explorer Daniel Boone-in this 1964-70 NBC drama. Set in the Kentucky wilderness of the late 1700s, the series also starred Patricia Blair as Daniel's wife, Rebecca, and tomahawk whiz Ed Ames as their Indian ally, Mingo.
