In 1960, British machine parts salesman Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch) was approached by MI6 and the CIA to be an international contact for Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze), a GRU officer wary of the Khrushchev regime's excesses. While the relationship provided America with intel critical to staving off the Cuban Missile Crisis, their perilous dealings would ultimately saddle both with a price. (2020)
