Constantine Giannaris - The Short Films

Three short films by one of Greeces finest filmmakers. Constantine Giannaris has gone on to prove himself as a powerful director in features such as "From the Edge of the City" and "3 Steps to Heaven", but before them came his short films. Each short is preceded by an introduction by the filmmaker.

CAUGHT LOOKING is about gay mens sexual fantasies. Based around a computer program that allows the user to become part of the landscape it gives new meaning to the word "virtual". The film is sexy, comic and subversive. 1991 35min.

NORTH OF VORTEX is a studied road movie about a bisexual poet, two hitchhikers and an American landscape. Shot in black and white it shows off our nation in a way no filmmaker from here ever could. It also has two of the hottest men you have ever seen. 1991 45min.

A PLACE IN THE SUN has a bored 35 year old Greek man falling in love with an 18 year old Albanian boy. The two share little in common except their boredom and the only way they both know to relieve it, sex. 1994 45min.
