Somewhere inside remote Romania, a no-nonsense U.S. military officer (a career performance by Armand Assante) leads a train full of Marines and top-secret communications equipment towards a waiting NATO outpost. But when a corrupt stationmaster delays their mission, the soldiers find themselves the unexpected guests of a village filled with stubborn bureaucrats, odd pop culture celebrations, and for one young sergeant (Jamie Elman of American Dreams), a most surprising romance with a local girl.
