This film highlights the career of legendary martial arts guru Bruce Lee, who met an untimely and unfortunate death at the apex of his career and follows the events that occur at the 1979 World Karate Championship, where someone will be named Bruce Lee's successor.

When Yeh Chen Lung (Bruce Li), a prosperous bank owner, loses his business to a gang of thieving martial artists he asks for the help of an elderly, blind martial arts guru known as Blind Master (Simon Yuen). An angry former student of Blind Master's is discovered to be the leader of the gang, and the two take him on in a final battle to the death.
