Widowed dad Alex Grady (Eric Roberts), whose rise in martial arts competition was curtailed by injury, got recruited onto a ragtag U.S. team for an international tournament. Facing off with a vastly better prepared Korean contingent, Grady and his fellow fighters must overcome their mutual differences, and the mixed signals from their conflicting coaches (James Earl Jones, Sally Kirkland), if they're to prevail.
