Amazing 80s Kids Double Feature

D.A.R.Y.L. (1985) For the foster parents (Mary Beth Hurt, Michael McKean) who found him wandering and amnesiac, young Daryl (Barrett Oliver) quickly won them over with his prodigious athletic and mental gifts. It turns out there are reasons, though, why his abilities seem more than human, and why government operatives are out to capture him at all costs. Explorers (1985) A couple of junior high outcast buddies-boy genius Wolfgang (River Phoenix) and media junkie Ben (Ethan Hawke)-start having shared dreams they can't account for. They find they've been given the schematics for a space vehicle from junkyard scraps, and the key to a wild and laugh-filled extraterrestrial adventure. Joe Dante's fun fantasy co-stars Jason Presson, James Cromwell, Dana Ivey, Robert Picardo, and the great Dick Miller.
